Zone 4 (possibly 3) - Massachusetts. ca. 1796 - standard rootstock

Dessert
Late season

Parentage: Unknown
It’s hard to imagine a better name for an apple than Seek-no-Further.. This very old apple was first mentioned in 1796, and originated near Westfield, Massachusetts. The fruit has greenish-yellow skin that is covered in a brick red blush, often with a bluish bloom. A simple polishing will remove the bloom and have the apple shining in the sun. The flesh is crisp with a rich aromatic flavour. The tree itself is very hardy, with no winter injury in zone 4, and possibly zone 3, and bears annually. Has good resistance to apple scab and insects, but is susceptible to codling moth.
