The double flowers of Delicata may have appeared to be delicate to its originator, but Delicata is definitely not a delicate plant. It is dense, spreading, and grows tall, if allowed. The foliage is very healthy and a medium green. The flowers are among the few Rosa rugosa hybrids that are close to true pink. This rose will quickly spread sideways via suckers. Though out of place in a tidy bed, it is ideal where a large plant is desired or where bank stabilization is needed.
